Compliance

It goes without saying that BGZ Gesellschaft für Zwischenlagerung mbH acts in a spirit of compliance. BGZ expects all its governance bodies, employees and business partners to abide by the law, regulations and guidelines and to fulfil the standards and requirements it itself has set. Integrity has top priority for BGZ. So that we can live up to that aspiration, it is important that we learn about potential misconduct so that we can take action to stop it. BGZ’s whistleblowing system offers everyone the opportunity to report violations of regulations or the law.

We expect every person who works for and with us to act with integrity. Our Code of Conduct underscores our responsibility towards employees, business partners and stakeholders. It helps us to make responsible decisions.

If you nevertheless discover possible violations of the law and regulations, there are various places to which you can report them anonymously. Not only BGZ employees, but also our stakeholders, their employees and other third parties can contact us in confidence using the channels specified below.

We safeguard the interests of whistleblowers not only by establishing a secure whistleblowing system, but also by promising to treat reports we receive confidentially and to protect whistleblowers acting in good faith against any disadvantages resulting from a report by any means necessary. They can also report possible violations in complete anonymity, where legally permissible.

The persons in charge of BGZ’s whistleblowing system guarantee impartiality, are independent, are not bound by instructions and are obligated to maintain confidentiality.

Reportable matters and violations

Reportable matters are in particular economic crime and regulatory offences committed by BGZ’s employees or business partners in the course of their official activities. Examples of economic crime and regulatory offences include fraud, breach of trust, corruption and embezzlement, accounting fraud, divulgence of trade and business secrets, environmental damage and endangering the health and safety of employees or stakeholders.

Violations of other regulations and compliance requirements can also be reported. Specific examples of that include, in particular, violations of compliance guidelines and occupational health and safety, IT security or data privacy regulations, or discriminatory conduct.
